Red Bull Curates is one of the few corporately sponsored art events I really enjoy attending. The massive amounts of free artisanal pizza and Tito’s Vodka mixed with blueberry flavored Red Bull probably account for a lot of that, but it’s also fun to mix and mingle with the street artists.
Judges walked around with clipboards and took notes, and the audience also had a vote, which they could text in their favorite artist. The winners would be invited to Scope in Miami Basel, where they would be given a booth. I wandered around taking pictures of the Red Bull coolers which the artists had painted / postered / and stenciled onto a week before, as well as any of the artists I could find or stumble into.
Of course a bunch of street artists like to be incognito, which I FUCKING DETEST, I don’t like taking pictures of Halloween masks and bandana faces- maybe it’s just me.

Half of the warehouse space was indoors, and half was outdoors. This was the walkway down to the pizza oven and 1st bar. The Bushwick party scene on HBO’s Girls was filmed here, where the chick threw the glass off the roof or whatever, that’s the roof.
