THE LINGERIE SHOW 2-22-04
Cris AC was hosting a Lingerie show at Eugene's. I knew this event would be the tops so I invited a pack of friends and got them all on the list.
A lingerie show, although, being inherently sexy is still a fashion show, with a runway and the like, so it's ment to be classy. Euguene's is a classy venue.
I invited Ran-D, Davey G, Josh Clark, Todd Detwiler, Josh's friend Mike, and two women Josh would be bringing: Shanna (Isrealie) and Shannie (African American). Keep in mind, I'm the only one out of all of us who is in a relationship. Jen was home sleeping (cause she has a day job).
Ran-D and Davey G drove with me. We got there early and waited on line. When we got to the door they flatley denied Ran-D's entry. It wasn't Cris' normal door guy, and he didn't know me. Ran-D was wearing jeans and they wouldn't let him in.
Mike showed up, he only lived a short ways away, and was about the same pant size as Ran-D so we sent them off in a cab so Ran-D could borrow a pair of pants.
We got into the joint and hit the bar. Todd called my cell and had to back out last minute, which sucks but was just as well with all the guys I was bringing to begin with. Getting into a club in Manhattan with a lot of guys isn't easy.
It was open bar on rum for an hour or two so we started getting them 5 at a time. We secured a booth right off of the runway (Thanks Cris- you are the man!) and started getting our drinks on.
It was great, the chicks Josh brought were hot and great dancers. Davey G was mackin' to Shannie.
The openbar ended up killing Shanna and she ralphed on the table. Josh took off with them in a cab and came back in time for the lingerie show.
The runway chicks were pretty hot, nothing to write home about, but the whole vibe of the show was innapropriate. It felt much more like watching a strip show then a fashion show, you can tell this by the reaction shots of the people in the audience. (YOU MUST SEE THE PICTURES FROM THIS SHOW AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS UPDATE!)
After the show I was introduced to some actors and some rappers.
Someone also introduced me to some of the Lingerie models. I was introduced like this: "This is Cojo, he works for Maxim Magazine." The model turned to me and asked seductively
"How high up at Maxim?"
Ladies and gentlemen, your casting couch moment of the night.
Being the one in a relationship I had to laugh and walk away.
Just another day in the life of an Art Juggernaut.
