September 1, 2004 - New York, NY - Political Poker Cards Unveiled at RNC

Trying to convince your friends and family who belongs in the White House? Arguing about whether Bush deals straight or Kerry flip-flops? Settle it at the poker table!

Or at least get a hoot at the funniest election collectible of the season. These are the poker cards that had been selling out at Madison Square Garden gift shops before the Repubican Convention even started. They are the ones you have heard about on the evening news and will soon see staring in their very own television program. (Don't be confused by imitations; these are the original and only Presidential Poker TM cards.)

The graphics have been described as the best ever created for political playing cards. Each richly illustrated card contains a hilarious take on the candidates, their policies, and the game of poker. Also incudes a wild Hold'em variation that contests the issues at the center of the Presidential Election.

One side of the box pictures George "Texas Hold'em" Bush, the other side John "Boston Stud" Kerry. Praises and pokes fun at both Republicans and Democrats. The latest in a long tradition of historical collectibles produced by the company that popularized the Official Iraqi Most Wanted cards.

Features:

52 stunning illustrations plus 3 humorous jokers
Thought provoking nicknames and captions on each card
Fun rules for the unique Showdown 2004 poker variation
Can be any used for any standard card game

ABOUT PRESIDENTIAL POKER

The Presidential Poker Hold'em variation was created to broaden the appeal of political involvement. Like the many Hollywood produced political documentaries, evening talk shows that increasingly favor interviews with political personalities, and the colorful political satire on bookstore shelves, we felt playing cards could just as effectively leverage entertainment to inform. Whether or not you play a full evenings worth of Prez Poker or read through the whole deck, we will consider our goal accomplished if you play just a few hands or browse just a few cards. As long as we get you to think about an issue in a new way or make you more likey to vote, we will be rewarded.

Of course, we'd love you and all your neighbors to purchase decks of Presidential Poker and cherish them as valuable family possessions. Who knows, they may indeed have measurable collectible value at some point. If you had an original deck of Grover Cleveland Presidential playing cards right now, you wouldn't be worried about a few dollars of shipping costs.

WHO CREATED PRESIDENTIAL POKER?

Presidential Poker was created by CereBel Corporation, a New York based holding company that has pubished a number of novelty and fund raising products to celebrate historical events including the first deck of Iraq Most Wanted cards for consumer consumption. The graphic art was created by two accomplished graphic illustrators.

The color honor card portraits were rendered by hip-hop artist Cojo Art Juggernaut (www.ARTsucks.com) who is a frequent contributor to Maxim, Vibe, King, XXL, and The Source among other magazines. The lower card icons were drawn by RJ Matson who is a regular editorial cartoonist for Roll Call, the Capital Hill Newspaper, and the New York Observer.

GAME ON!

P.S.
What's up family?!

I just got a bunch of these packs from the printers and they are hot as Hell! I'm telling you, best political poker deck of the year.

I knew of the Iraqi Most Wanted poker deck from seeing it used in gags on The Daily Show and Letterman and whatnot, so when the company who created it approached me to do a follow-up deck in the vein of the Democrats vs.the Republicans I felt honored.

I checked out the competition tonight on the web, and all the other competing decks that have to do with politics are drawn like shit!

Aside from the art, the captions on these are funny and well thought out. Trust me, you'll dig these. Buy one (or more) and contact me, when you get your deck, mail it to me with an SASE (with correct postage for each way) and I'll sign it and send it back to you.

Just another day in the life of an Art Juggernaut.
