BRIAN ROMERO'S 30TH BIRTHDAY PARTY 2-27-04

I've been friends with Brian Romero for almost ten years (I met him my freshman year of college) . I've been friends with him through 3 of his serious relationships, and two pugs. Brian was one of my early influences in college, being that he's 3 years older than I am, he was experiencing (careerwise) things in the present that I was only looking forward to.

I respect his advice and opinion. He's one of the guys I knew would be huge. After school I worked on various projects with him for Goldenbooks and others. When his girl sent out an e-mail announcing his 30th birthday, Jen and I had to attend. The party was at Ace Bar in the East Village. Cool venue for a party, been this bar many times but not in a birthday capacity. Shot some darts, caught up with some old friends R. Evan Cunningham was there, and Jesse Mumford.

I was on deadline so we had to break out early and didn't get to see my old pal Zack Flagg who showed up later. Did I mention I have the most talented friends on earth?

On the way out I noticed the bar next door had a giant collection of bikes out front. Why? Who the fuck knows?

Just another day in the life of an Art Juggernaut.
